My day:::::

Alarm buzzed at 4:00. Lay in bed and ponder, pray and think untill 5:30 sleep till 6:00. Shower, make coffee, get my boys out of bed, leave the house, drop the boys off at school, report to work till 4:00. Drop by Walmart get a few groceries for dinner (King Ranch Chicken Casserole). Eat, clean up, sit on sofa, and stare out into space. Leave the house at 6:10, head back to town for soccer practice. Get back to the house by 8:30, stare at the boys.......I think I need a bowl of ice cream.

Today's my birthday and I'm feelen the love of everyone around me. Gee I HAVE received 67 birthday wishes from my social network site and fielded telephone calls from my mom and my dad. Thanks to everyone who felt compelled to send me well wishes. I love my small town and everyone in it and everyone who has lived here before that now call another city home. I think I will go as far as saying...I love everything about it too. Now for that bowl of ice cream. It's better than birthday cake anyway.

Back to School

It has cooled down a lot here in Oklahoma. I am not using the words "a lot" loosely either. It's nearly 20 degrees cooler. It has been 110 the past several weeks and today its a cool 90. I can now smell Fall in the air and all I want to do is go to Walmart and buy #2 pencils and notebook paper. Thank you to all of the school teachers, assistant teachers, secretaries, kitchen staff, maintenance, coaches and anyone else that reports to a public school each day.

My dad grows these scrumptious little jewels for me. Oh-me-oh-my! I don't know what variety they are but I do know they are sweet and tart at the same time (hows that happen). In my opinion they are much better than a slicer. No need to take the time to get a knife and plate out of the drawer..LAZY I know....just plop a couple in your mouth everytime you walk by.
Here's the bad news he says this is the last year and he's handing over his green thumb to me. Oh-me-oh-my! I don't see this working.

My lavender is in full bloom this week so I'm offering my Lavender Room and Linen Spray for $6.00 until the end of June.

Fresh lavender is simply refreshing. These fresh lavender buds will be cut and harvested in a few more days....ahhhhhhh
