My dad grows these scrumptious little jewels for me. Oh-me-oh-my! I don't know what variety they are but I do know they are sweet and tart at the same time (hows that happen). In my opinion they are much better than a slicer. No need to take the time to get a knife and plate out of the drawer..LAZY I know....just plop a couple in your mouth everytime you walk by.
Here's the bad news he says this is the last year and he's handing over his green thumb to me. Oh-me-oh-my! I don't see this working.

Winter 2011

Today is February 5th, 2011. It's cold. Its quiet. Its beautiful. The State of Oklahoma has been shut down for nearly a week from what "they" have coined The Blizzard of 2011. I haven't been outside much because I'm kind of a warm weathered girl but I just had to step outside and listen to the still of the morning.

Sarah's Sweet 16

We attended Sarah's Sweet 16 party this weekend. Boy did she rake in the dough $$$$! I have known her and her mommie since she was in the belly! She was a sweet little girl who has grown into an awesome young teen. She's smart, witty, happy, beautiful, honest, caring, did I say smart. The girl is smart!!!!!!! I'm not talking just smart, I mean smart. She's the whole package. We love her!

The first time we met your mom

was at a Christmas Show

Little did we know for the next 16 years

that we would watch you grow

You fill everyone's heart

with love and joy

Watch out Wagoner here she comes

She's traded in all her toys

Yes that's right

She drives a car

How can she be 16 years old

That's so extremely bizarre

Today (January 29th) it was 77 degrees in my neck of the woods. I decided to look around the yard to see what I could find because a little bit of fever hit me, that's spring fever not the flu fever that is slamming our town right now. Nonetheless, here's a picture of what's poking out of the ground already, crocus. Oh how I love crocus, the early blooming flower that reminds me spring is on the way.

This week I have played a lot of "girl stuff". On Sunday I hosted a "facial day" with the 2 lucky winners from last months Christmas open house drawing. They brought their friends and I had a house full of girls. I hope they had as good as time as I had. My boys won't play hair and makeup with me. I'm kind of glad because I would be a little scared if they did. And 3 days later I had the pleasure of spending a little time with my co-workers daughter. We didn't have much time but we did get to soak our feet and have a mini facial and sip tea.....Again I hope she had as good a time as I did.

Our dog, Hutch

Here's a picture of our dog, Hutch. He's a bruiser. He loves to take rides with us and most of all he likes to be right beside us at all times. He's the best dog I have ever owned.

17 years and holding today! Yep that's my main squeeze and yep those glasses were in style in March of 93'. No one laugh! bah ha bah ha!!!! Here's to my one and only Valentine!

Too bad there isn't a scratch and sniff button on this computer. This lavender has an amazing scent and it reminds me that spring is just around the corner.

Anyway, during the last snow storm I finally got around to harvesting our lavender from last summer shall I say I was just plain ol' scared. I have no idea if I did this correctly but the end result was absolutely worth the wait.
